I was having money problems back then, and couldn't really afford hosting anyway, so I just let that be that and got my blog hosted here at Chatta Blogs ( a wonderful service, by the way). I was planning on this being the final home of life is a diaper, but since I got a job, I just can't resist getting my domain back. Of course, I opted for a cheap plan with only 150 MB as opposed to the 2 gigs I had before, but it's just as good. That's about all I had allotted for my domain anyway. I had such a big plan so I could do a sort of charity hosting thing, you know, hosting people that couldn't really afford to pay. I liked doing that.
But I digress. The whole point of this entry was to let everyone know that I am officially back at my old domain. Well, maybe not officially. I haven't actually posted anything new there, and I still have to import the last couple of entries from this site. All new entries, however, will be posted at lifeisadiaper.com. See ya there!
Thanks to everyone here at ChattaBlogs for giving me a place for my blog when it was homeless, and for being just all around great people! I've really enjoyed my time here.
Gracie has never actually ridden a bicycle before, she's always been too scared that she'll fall off, so yesterday was her first time. We only got to stay out for about 15 minutes before it started raining, but she had fun on it. She can get on all by herself, and she can pedal. She hasn't quite grasped the concept of steering yet, so I have to walk beside her with one hand on the handle bars so she doesn't run into the fence or take a nose-dive off the sidewalk.
She's been begging me all day to take her for a ride again, but we haven't been able to yet. It rained all morning, and as soon as it cleared up we went grocery shopping. The only thing stopping us from going now is that there isn't anyone here to watch Arien while we go out. It's way too wet to take her outside, and I think Gracie needs my undivided attention. My brother should be home soon, though. He'll watch Arien or I'll put a lock on the fridge and cabinets and won't let him eat any of my food. No, I wouldn't really do that, but it's always nice to have something to threaten him with.
I've had absolutely nothing to do this week, so I lost track of the days. I actually thought that today was Saturday for some reason. I kept the girls home from daycare, and we went to Wal Mart to get some stuff. I was walking through the store thinking, "Wow, they're sure aren't many people in here for it to be Saturday." I didn't realize that it was Thursday until I got back to the car. This week has went by way too slowly.
I'm able to see my website now. It only took 5 days. I've been keeping myself busy by trying to get everything exactly how I want it. Trying is the word. I just can't get my layout to look right in IE for some reason. It looks perfect in Mozilla, but freaky in IE, and it's driving me crazy. I'm used to it being the other way around.
I'm getting some hits in my logs, so I'm pretty sure that the dns has resolved to that server just about everywhere else except for me. It still sends me to the netfirms page when I try, and I can't get my pop email. But, when I send an email to my the address set up at that domain, I can get it by going through Cpanel at my new Hosting Matters account.
I changed the nameservers almost 4 days ago. It should be finished propogating by now, right? I've done this plenty of times before, and it took 2 days tops. It's not like it really matters though. I can view the site and upload to it through the IP, but there are a few things that I'm itching to try with Movable Type, but I can't do much of anything but install it (did that day before yesterday), until I can get to the site by going through the domain name. This is annoying the crap out of me, really.

As you can see, I haven't traveled much. I live in Tennessee, I go to Alabama ever day to pick up a friend who rides to work with me, and I have to go through Georgia to get to work.
I hit Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan all in the same trip. When I was 18, I took a trip with my great aunt to visit her family in Lakeville, Indiana. She wanted someone to help her drive. We stopped for lunch in Kentucky on the way there and on the way back. They (my aunt and her brother) took me all over Northern Indiana, and to Michigan just so I could say I'd been there. It was during that trip that I first realized that I was pregnant with Gracie.
I've been to Florida twice. Once when I was about 5 (I don't remember much of that one), and again in January of 2001. Wayne, one of his buddies, my roomate at the time, and I went to Lawtey to pick up my roomate's boyfriend and bring him back to Tennessee to live with us. That was not a fun trip! I won't go into it now, though. I'll leave it for another post.
I had a couple of things to tell him, though. He called last night and said he was going to come get the kids after he went a picked Daphne up from wherever she is (if they let her out). I don't think so, buckwheat. Now that I know she's really nuts, my kids aren't going anywhere near her. I wish her kid didn't have to be anywhere near her. He tried to tell me that I had to let him see them, but I know better. He hasn't paid any child support in the past two months, and no child support means no visitation. Gracie doesn't want anything to do with him anyway. She cries to stay with me when he comes to pick them up. Arien isn't old enough to know better yet.
I also told him that Daphne told my cousin that she's been trying to get rid of him for the past 5 months, but he won't leave. That really pissed him off. He started yelling, "It's my house! She's got her shit backwards!" He didn't want to talk anymore after that. I thought that was something he needed to know. If Daphne didn't want him to hear that, she shouldn't have told Jamie, because she knows that Jamie tells me everything, and that I'm going to tell Wayne if it concerns him.
This may sound bad, and it might make everyone think I'm horrible, but I don't really care. I hope they keep Daphne in there for a long, long time. She tore my family apart, and I want to see her get what's coming to her. I could think of a lot of things that I'd like to see happen to her, but I'm not going to actually put them in writing.
