With the college football season rapidly approaching, I've been hearing alot about my favorite team, the Auburn Tigers. Last year they had a pretty good season, with a couple of disappointing close games. This year the excitement is building as they are ranked #6 in the preseason poll and picked to win the SEC. Last year, watching Auburn games were more fun than ever thanks to the one and only Andrea Yeaman, Auburn fanatic and all-around hilarious friend. Sadly, we left her behind in Atlanta, and Genia is a Crimson Tide fan, but I'm still going to follow my team. I wonder if there is an "Auburn place" in Chattavegas like The Bucket Shop in Atlanta?

There are alot of divided houses in Alabama (the state). Most of the time is like in your case, John; one member is for Auburn and the other is for Alabama. However, I saw a disgusting combination today. A divided house, one was for Auburn and the other for Florida. They had a tag on the front of their car proudly stating it. (and no, I didn't key "Roll Tide" into their car)
And you do know that most of the babies born in Alabama that are expected in late November are born during the Iron Bowl?
But I do agree with you... College Football is the greatest sport ever. It doesn't matter if you are for Alabama, Auburn, Jacksonville State, or someone else, all normal people would agree with me. Between the rivalries, action, coaching, trick plays, stats, locations, and players (especially while you are in college... having the same class at the star reciever), I can't think of any other sport that is better than College Football.
Posted by: Craig at August 21, 2003 10:26 PMWell I of course have been wathcing my Auburn tigers as they prepare for a make or break season. I am excited to see one of the best running back situations in college football this year. Maybe the last ten years. The concerns are evident though. There are the question marks put on the kicking team as we have an untested kicker in Philip Yost. Quarterback Jason Campbell has not yet been considered top notch in his position. He will have a lot of help none the less. I am sure the playbook will be unblanced to include a lot of option plays and hand offs to the backs. Tubberville says he is gonna really shake it up this year. Put some excited plays into motion. Being the Daring coach that he is, I have no doubts that he will continue to spread the ball around and go for it on 4 and 1 or 2 or3... LOL!! This is our year john boy. Let no one take our glory away. I think if we come out of our first game of the season with a win then i am excited to see the rest of the season. Fist test Is #9 USC. They got us in Cali last year. Now it's our turn. Man I could go on and on. I am super pumped about this season. Good to have you aboard on the Auburn Wagon. I know marg and i are obviously devided. That is all for now. Can't wait for september 9th.
