Our sweet little Bailey was a ladybug for Halloween... this photo and more on the Bailey Photo Gallery. Big written update on Bailey coming soon...

After her doctor's visit on Wednesday, Bailey got her first taste of solid food. She had about half a jar of sweet potatoes, and she seemed to like the taste. Since then, she's also had a jar of Apples & Cranberries and a jar of Bananas. Her favorite of the three was Apples & Cranberries. I have it from a reliable source that that kind actually tastes pretty good.

Naturally, we have some photos of her first feeding. And for future reference, if you ever want to know if we have new photos up, just check the New Photos page of the gallery. It'll tell you what's been added within the last day, week, two weeks, etc. so that you never have to miss any cute Bailey photos.

Thanks to my net friend Dan, I have an amazing new Photo Gallery. It's simple to add photos, and the features are great -- expect to see a lot more photos and more frequent updates. One feature I love is the ability to categorize photos. Each category becomes its own gallery. Two special categories I added are Bailey's Birth Day and KJT's January/February Birthday Party. And of course, there is a gallery dedicated to Bailey -- it has 86 photos!

Bailey's able to sit up, with support, and for some reason, I thought it would be cute to take some photos of her sitting up in various odd places around the house. These two were taken after a trip to Target and the grocery store. I'll probably add some more of these type pictures over the next couple weeks.

Bailey is such a happy little baby. And last night she made her parents very happy. She slept in her crib from a bit after midnight until a bit after 1:00pm today, waking only once for about an hour to eat. We slept better than we have in a long time.

Bailey had her three month birthday last Monday! This is a photo of her taking a nap in her swing that day, and in celebration of the big day, I have a new photo gallery with 18 photos from the last few weeks. Enjoy!

Bailey is now 10 1/2 weeks old! It's amazing how quickly the time has gone by. She seems like a happier baby now. I don't think it's that her mood changed so much as she just now has the ability to express emotions other than crying. She smiles at us a lot, and of course our hearts just melt! Here she's getting dried off after a bath. She must not realize she's wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide towel or she'd be crying, right?

I snapped this last night as we were driving home.

Bailey definitely loves bath time. She outgrew the sink in about two weeks, so now she has a little seat we put her in inside the bathtub. As soon as she hits the warm water, she gets so peaceful. And once bathtime is over, she loves to be dried with the blow dryer. Something about the sound seems to calm her down. We even turn it on and just let it go when it's time to put her in her bassinet to sleep. Now Genia has relinquished it from the bathroom to a permanent place on Bailey's changing table. Whatever works, right?

Here she is, our beautiful new daughter, Bailey Elisabeth. She was born Sunday afternoon at 4:09pm; she registered at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and 19.5 inches long.
