I checked my page referral statistics and discovered that over the last few days, I've had a fairly decent number of hits coming from a post I made on Slashdot in a discussion of one of the slashdot polls. Somebody made a joke about how the reason mini-skirt wasn't one of the options because it was /. after all, so being the good slashdot reader that I am, I posted an "insensitive clod" reply about being a girl and wearing skirts, and I got more people clicking on my url in the message header than I ever have had with any other post I've made. I've had posts modded up to +5, Interesting, but one little mention of being a girl and people decide to visit my site. I just thought that was funny (I will withold any comments about nerds and relationships).
