Hot damn! Apparently I'm not the only hockey fan in the 'Noog. Can't say I'm happy about the TB victory last night, but I don't hate TB like I do Detroit, and Martin St. Louis is actually a pretty cool guy.

Hence, as I am actually in Florida, the Lightning is my team.
As for Martin St. Louis, I think it's pretty cool that a guy who is shorter than me (and who I'd tower over if I was wearing high heels) is able to be so dominant in a league where most players are 6'+.
Posted by: kathryn at Marzo 3, 2004 01:27 AMAh, that makes sense then. I spent most of my life in Colorado, so I'm a die-hard Avs fan. It is interesting to note the number of shorter hockey players that do well. Joe Sakic, captain of the Avs, is under 6', as is Paul Kariya. It really comes down to the style of hockey each person plays, and sometimes it seems like the shorter guys almost have an advantage with their balance.
