I've had the world's worst toothache for the past four days. I've been eating hydros like candy, but even they aren't helping much anymore. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. I don't have dental insurance, and I can't afford to go to the dentist, so there's nothing for me to do but sit here and hurt.
This sucks.

Poor thing, I know exactly what you are talking about. I had this bad toothache like half a year ago and I thought I would rather die. Well, my only suggestion is to break the piggybank and go see the dentist even if it cost a fortune.
Posted by: Jano at July 7, 2004 05:32 AMDentist is good! Dr Prince on Brainerd Road is really good and not too expensive. I think they will work with you if you don't have all the money up front. Not 100% sure about that so I would call first.
Good luck with the toothache. Oh, something that might help temporarily. Have you seen those Excedrin tabs that melt in your mouth? Take one of those and put it RIGHT ON the tooth and let it dissolve. A friend of mine did this and he said it gave him relief for a few hours.

Posted by: kat at July 7, 2004 09:31 AMOuch...I know that feeling. However, most dentists' will work out a payment plan in situations like this. I would go, and get on a payment plan, misery like this only leads to worse misery. I learned that lesson the hard way with a dental problem.

In the meantime...Aleve works pretty well for teeth pain, and a buttload of orajel. :) I hope you start feeling better soon!
