Also. doing some research on the company, and what it does, and some general research on that particular industry may help. what companies are the customers of the company you are looking to be employed by? learning about them may help too.

Most of the want ads contain "if this was a perfect world, this is what we would want in a perfect employee." However, we all know that the world is indeed, NOT perfect. Go out there and apply for those jobs. More often than not you will get an interview with them... just make sure you don't dwell on what you don't know, but show off what you do know!
