My girlfriend heidi came to visit the past weekend, and let me tell you i REALLY enjoyed myself. We went to her friends wedding on Saturday (8hrs of driving), did some shopping on sunday, and went to chicago on monday to visit a college she might be transferring to and then did a walk of the town (both of us did it in new shoes, so the feet arent feeling so hot today). Anyways, today she has to go back to chatt, and it just doesnt seem right. I sure can't wait till she moves closer so i wont have to go 6 weeks between visits (those are killer).
I was listening to radiostorm today (internet radio), exploring away from radio wazee (my usual internet radio station), and i came accross a hard rock/alternative station that played some good music. One of the songs however just stunk. Its a band called Pennywise and their song 'F*ck Authority'. If i had the time, id link to the song... Anyways, the lead singer has a BAD lisp... its terrible. it was like a typical nerd/dork grew up with his lisp and decided to join an alternative band...
Strolling down internet lane brought me to yet another unbelieve web-design company. WHen first arriving to your site, you wonder if these people have some gothic background, due to the obsessive caligraphy logo. However, I went at took a gander at their portfolio, where they cater, almost exclusively to arts & crafts sites. I bet the company is owned/operated by a mid 30's to mid 40's wasp woman... (not trying to demean women web designers, i know MANY who can blow me away...). but this person (who i think is a woman) apparently took all the design techniques they learned from creating arts & crafts and applied them to front-page based technology. take a look and see what a mean.
I just ran across this article while surfing msn (ok, so i was getting ready to setup a computer, and noticed that msn was the homepage and one of the articles grabbed my attention).
Well, my company doesnt seem to be wasting any time filling the void that my previous coworker left behind. However, from what it seems, my new officemate might be female. I don't know if they hired her yet, but i do know that the bossman asked me about my thoughts on a female officemate. I guess we'll see over the next couple of days.
