A couple things
Life After Darla is taking to the stage, once again in Orange County, this Saturday night (April 28th). Unfortunately the venue has an age restriction: 21 and over. I do hope that all those over the age of 21 will see fit to come witness what is quite positively a brilliantly energetic night of music. The location is in Fullerton at Back Alley. Doors open at 8pm; LAD will take the stage just after 9pm. There is NO COVER CHARGE for this engagement, but be sure to have some money handy ($5) for the popular Life After Darla nine-track CD that will be on sale (last time they sold out before everyone was able to obtain one; we hope to have plenty of discs this time).

These types of cases are popping up all over the nation; the intent, so it seems to me, is not so much to acquire benefits as "partners," but rather to put pressure on lawmakers and courts to legalize same-sex marriages. Let us hope that Yeshiva sticks to their guns, and fights this one to the end.
Maybe the Pre-Tribulational Rapture thing is true; are not these chips considered by some Dispensationalists to be the "mark of the Beast" as prophecied in Revelation? My want is to poke fun at the ideas that pervade such eschatalogical speculation (maybe the CEO of IBM is the anti-Christ?), but I must remember that, for one, I used to believe such things, and two, many persons of sincere faith in Christ still do believe these things. Educating them in the truths of Biblical prophecy will not be accomplished by jokes.
Here's a tough issue. A woman who had been in a coma for 11 years was allowed by courts to be taken off the feeding machine (killed?). Her family wanted to keep her alive, but the husband said that his wife "would have wanted it that way." I found this last quote very interesting: "Terri Schiavo collapsed at her home in St. Petersburg Feb. 25, 1990, from a lack of potassium that may have come from an eating disorder. Her heart stopped and she was without oxygen for five minutes. Doctors say she is unaware of her surroundings and she will never get better. Her parents say she responds to sights and sounds." Is this contradictory testimony? Is the response to light and sound considered an improvement or is it the way it has been for 11 years? Is this type of "killing" ever justified?
