Boring update on life.

Guh, So i haven't been in the mood to blog, really not much to say, though I started to and wrote this big long blog, then my ADD kicked in and i accidentally did a search on my window and left my page, GRR.

So whats new you ask?

I went bike shopping with scott yesterday which was cool. He's a pretty big bike guru and knows his stuff pretty well. We found a Jamis that I liked, here's the picture
Its not the best, but I can't afford the best so I'm getting what I can afford courtesy of my parents. They gave me some moolah for the b day and told me to get either a lawn mower, bike, or golf bag. Seeing as my lawnmower currently is operating I deemed that a not wise purchase, a golf bag, well I need that but once i get it I still have to pay for the rounds of golf, so i figured Bike would be the closest thing to a gift I could use and enjoy. Though I do have to buy a helmet, but after that the extra stuff can wait till i'm actually in shape.

Also one of my philosophies (if you could call it that) is don't buy the top of the line or even the middle of the line stuff whenever you pick up a hobby or sport. Like my golf clubs, they're 10 possibly older years old. I got them as a hand me down and frankly they're still working. I could use new ones perhaps but I figure get good with what you got then when I'm shooting in the 80s I'll start looking at some new clubs.

Plus you always look dorky when you buy all the top of the line gear and junk and don't even know how to use it. I can just see me now if i bought this super duper bike, all the gear, and then got out on a trail and couldn't even ride the darn thing.

Any who, not much else is happening, wifey's engrossed nightly with the whole olympics which gets me off the hook for a while. But I've been busy doing errands and house stuff as of late. Well off to play with the dog, give him the attention he demands.
