Well the weekend came to an end... that sucks. I can honestly say I almost saw no day light during the whole weekend, YES! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED> Lets recap. Friday night was great. Met up with Mesh, Andy, Isaac, and Joe Roe at Taco Mac and dined on the very good chicken wings which were very South Beach friendly... sort of, they were more Atkins friendly because of the high fat count but who's counting. Then we went back to my place to watch Super Troopers and play some Mario Kart Gamecube. Super Troopers was hilarious, but very wrong... not recommended for mixed company or men of the cloth. Mario Kart was cool, way better than the 64 one but simple like the original. Then after they left, I stayed up till 4:30 in the morning playing Civ 3... that was rough. Then i slept for a few hours and woke up and played civ for a few more hours... three Pm i think. I stopped to grab some food since the pot of coffee I had for breakfast was starting to eat the inner layer of my stomach away. So i had no food in my belly except for some of the remaining chicken wings and pot o' coffee: What do you think I should have eaten? Wrong, I ate the worst thing possible. French Onion soup with extra cheese, if this diet doesn't work at least I'll have ruined my digestive track. I then went out with Jesse, Soph, and Mac to where else... Taco Mac... which I'm still puzzled with by the way Strow. I mean you ordered Chicken tenders... you could have gotten that anywhere! So the second night in a row i had CHICKEN WINGS. Though the 2nd time i got mild as i did want to have a burning butt hole by the end of the night. But we had a good time so all was right as rain. We then went up to the Strow Lair to play some Halo. It was great except Jesse is insanely too good at that game. I mean people get annoyed with me when the play me but I usually feel sorry for them so say only try to shoot at people when i'm two steps away or only use vehicles to kill them like the jeep... nope not jesse, merciless. I then went home about midnight and went home to watch Gangs of NY. I didn't really want to watch it but i felt i should watch it before the sabbath... i know thats weird but I have a hard time watching movies of the violent, cussing, and nudity sort after I just went to the Lords house. So i stayed up till 3 watching that pile of trash. The movie was horribly stupid and I felt like I was watching a Scorsese lecture: "This is whats wrong with america....this is whats wrong with society...this is whats wrong with history...this is whats wrong with war..." Blah blah blah. The man's kind of a putz when it comes to his views on life. He maybe able to make old timey NY look cool but that was about all i got out of the movie. Though I liked Danial Dey Louis, he's dead sexy and good in the movie as far as acting's concerned. Though, I think he's irish, he's always in irish type movies, so why have him play an American and have Leonardo Dicrapio play the irish kid when his accent sounded more like an Irish Setter than Irishman.
Well so then I went to church today, the Roes invited me out for lunch with them but Lupis can't really help the no carb thing, i could've gotten a salad but whats the point? I'd be drooling over their calzones and pizza and bread rolls. So i headed home but went a different route. Wife pulled up some houses she wanted me to check out and one was on the south side of east ridge back behind those tacky hotels that sit on the cliff right there up from Yum yums. The house was awesome, perfect, old, and a good price... except like many homes in this area it was built on the side of mountain and has no yard. Its parking on the street and better be careful when you tell your son to "go long" for a pass because he'd fall down the cliff and end up in Alton Park. But i continued along the ridge up there and its amazing. Way nicer than Lookout in my mind. Lookout has too many tiers to be truly breath taking, but the houses on the ridge overlooked the Chatt Valley aka the city, and the valley on the other side of the ridge. They were some nice old homes too. SOme of them needed a little work but they were nice. I also found a nice way home that isn't so annoying like Rossville BLVD. Well thats about it, football sucked a big one today. Chalk up another boring super bowl. The last great Super Bowl In my mind remains to be Rams Titans where the game was decided on the last play by only one yard. That was truly amazing and heart wrenching every play of the game. Tomorrow the wife comes back from her ventures. I unfortunatley work for a racist company so need less to say i will not be celebrating MLK's B-day by sleeping in. As the song goes till we meet again... (Imagine nukes dropping to add effect)
Spaceman Holtie, you made my first Mario Kart experience a pleasure. Or at least not as bad as I thought. I made blue sparks!
Posted by: mesh at January 19, 2004 01:43 AMYes, chiken tenders can be had anywhere but we wanted the Chile Con Queso that Taco Mac has to offer for only 3 or 4$
