This past weekend was a little crazy. Wifey got the second interview at the realtor so we were really jazzed about the possibilities that another income would give us. We spent friday night with the Roe's playing their crack board game Settlers. It was pretty fun although they won every game (The house always wins). We were there till 2 Am though and left only because the sun was starting to rise. Saturday Abnormally Crabby and the Wife paid us a visit. We had lunch with some friends of ours at the Macaroni Grill. I've decided the macaroni grill is good but their pastas are over seasoned and too rich. Although the Olive Garden serves the most bland pasta i feel like I'm paying fifteen bucks for unseasoned food. Then Crabby, the wife, wifey, and I drove around to car dealerships here in chattaland. With the heighten possiblity of Wifey's job at the realtor the possiblity of being able to get another car was also heightened. So we looked around at mainly Nissans. We decided we want either an Xterra, Pathfinder, Geo Tracker, 4-Runner, or anything similar. (The tracker was a joke) The reason I decided on the Xterra was it is actually one of the cheapest/larger suvs out there with a V6. The 4-runner I've already decided is too expensive so its already out of the running. Pathfinder is also a little too $$ but it hasn't officially been taken out of the running. We found a really nice '99 Honda Passport for pretty cheap that we liked but we're not ready to buy anything just yet.
After car searching for a bit we hit the 2.50$ movie theater, yep its up another quarter yet again. Crabb dawg and i saw the Matrix Remounted while the wives saw Almighty Bruce. Then we went back to our place had some din din and then went to our friends for dessert. We then played a rousing game of Battle of the Sexes till 1 in the morning.
Then Sunday night we played the worst game of settlers with the roes and orrs. WE played till midnight, everyone was irritable, the game took forever, i had to work the next day, and it was the third night in a row that I had stayed up past my nine o clock bedtime for a board game. Needless to say i'm done with board games for a long time. Furthermore after everyone left I was up all night unable to fall asleep. Whenever I play a game board or video for more than an hour i can never go to sleep because i can't stop thinking about different aspects of the game. What I'm gonna do next (Even though the game is over) what i'll build next game, who i'll try to block in, (anyone but april she takes it personal). Its kind of like when you go to Six Flags and ride roller coasters all day and then you come home and when you're sleeping in bed it still feels like you're on the roller coaster, same applies when you swim all day.
So that was the weekend. Work was ok, I had a big test that went ok i think, hope, and pray. There was a typo on the test that affected one of the answers but i just ignored it so i may have gotten that one wrong. Well i'm going to bed early so i can feel refreshed and mountain spring clean in the morning. I'll try to write a funny blog sometime this week, sorry for all those who don't care about my boring personal life... don't worry I wish i was cooler too.
we agree..board games need a rest. we plan on put put next time. or maybe lots and lots of beer. it is always a good time regardless.

I am sorry you are "done for awhile" though. Hope you guys aren't too pissed at us.
Posted by: april at September 8, 2003 10:06 PMThat game is crack, and completely wack on 6 players.
Posted by: JosiahQ at September 9, 2003 10:28 AMI recommend against the 4runner. The backseat sucks for road trips. It is so upright, no lumbar support at all.
