Matrix Resolutions

I just finished watching the matrix reloaded last night on DVD. After reading several posts about the true (or alleged) nature of the story. I watched it in a new light.

I had a much better appreciation for the story with these links from Chronic Murmerings.

Here is what I think. I definitely think there is much more to what is happening then we have been let in on. Quite possible Neo (I'm sure it's been pointed out that the letters in his name spell one as in The One) is a program of the matrix designed to reboot the system so to speak. And that theory has been explored extensively.

I'm more curious about the Oracle, Merovingian, Persephone and the nature of Zion.

I'm quite sure that Zion is still apart of the Matrix. Built to contain those who reject the program. Neo receives a message from the oracle through one of the orphans while he is at Zion. The importance of this is two fold:
1. How could something physical be passed from a fake reality to a real one. (perhaps the orphan bent the spoon in zion and didn't receive it from the oracle but that still leads to point number 2)
2. The message of the spoon is: "There is no spoon" meaning where you are right now (Zion) is as real as where you were when you first saw the spoon (Matrix).

This means that Oracle is telling Neo that he is still in the matrix, only he doesn't begin to realize the message until the end when he controls the sentinel. Also, Agent Smith could not possible infect a living human being. (Of course I'm applying real world rules to a fictional story, but there has to be some reason Smith could do this.)

One theory for why Smith could infect a person in the real world is that there is some sort of nanotechnology involved in hooking people up to the Matrix. Thus, even when unhooked from the Matrix, someone who was once hooked in would still have that nanotechnology in their system--technology which could, theoretically, become infected by a virus.

So, it is not necessary that Zion be a computer program as well--it could actually be the real world. And, the reason that Neo could control the sentinel could be because something happened when Smith tried to take over his body.

i like it. the more i think about it, the less i think zion is a program, but there is something to do with time that is important, like the matrix doesn't exist in time, but in memory. . . or something.

Hmmmmmm... Perhaps you should just wait to see what happens in the 3rd movie. I think you might be surprised. Right now, you have nothing to base a conclusion on because nothing has been explained. That is why there is a 3rd movie. This last one could go so many different directions. I have a similar idea that Neo could be a program and that everything is still inside the matrix... But, I don't think they would end they whole Trilogy on a downer and have every thing be whipped out. I know a ton of people that hate the movie... Here is some things that go against the program Theory... The Fact is that Neo is THE ONE and even the Merovingian... Says, "See, he is still only a man", as you watch NEO bleed during a fight scene... Which goes against your theory... If he can see that he is just a man. How can he be a program? Yet, maybe he has been fooled too... The fact is, No matter what Neo actually is. He Goes against what he knows he should do and destroys THE MATRIX and sets the humans free! Which is why he choose Trinity over going to the Source to rebuild Zion. The Oracle says, That the Source is where Neo must go. That is the is where the quest of the one "Ends"... But remember, Neo didn't go to the source. He didn't go in the door to rebuild / save Zion. He told the Architect that he better hope he doesn't see him again... And then the Architect says "He won't! Even if Neo is a program, he evolved / turned into a Human because only a Human can "LOVE" nothing else shows or feels love like a human. Anyway, There is a lot to explain and that is why the 3rd movie needs to be scene. To base a conclusion of part of the story is impossible. Which makes it an excellent movie. Just remember that NEO is the ONE... But what is he... THERE IS NO SPOON!

I just watched resolutions and I believe there needs to be another movie. It is not finished. We still are left with to many questions. Nothing is truly explained about Neo! I wanted to understand more about him. This really throuws me (Neo pushes Smith - Smith bleeds?) I wanted answers because I love the movie and I love guessing, but to say it is done and walk away is offensive to me because the matrix has realed all of us in, right!
