Scratching a candidate off my list

I didn't plan on documenting my thought process as we near voting time, but I can't help myself. Hopefully, when November arrives, I'll have picked a candidate.

With that said...

Tonight, at the Democratic National Convention, John Edwards said the following words which permanently dashed John Kerry's chances of getting my vote*:

"We hear a lot of talk about values. Where I come from, you don’t judge someone’s values based on how they use that word in a political ad. You judge their values based upon what they’ve spent their life doing."

I'm glad he said this. I can be at peace now. John Kerry has spent the almost exclusive majority of his life -- as a senator -- voting against things I support, and voting in favor of things I oppose. Of all the reasons NOT to vote for John Kerry (oh, and there are many) this is the most solid, for me. You might disagree. That's fine. I'm still not going to vote for him.

Wow. That was pretty simple. Thanks John!

I'll still keep my poll up, though. Aaron Mesh has a commanding lead, and I think he has a shot of winning the imaginary Presidency.

(*-Alright, I'll be honest. He really didn't have my vote before tonight, either.)

I guess its either lack of values or pointless wars this time around, sad.

I intensely loathe both candidates...what should I do come November?

Then vote for John Totten's dad. John Totten, Jr. He'd be better than Berry or Kush.
