Movies I've Never Seen

I often skip big, blockbuster films. I figure enough other people are watching them, why should I? So, here is a short list of films I've never seen.

Matrix (Haven't seen ANY of them)
Jurassic Park (Haven't seen ANY of them)
Star Wars (Haven't seen the new ones)
Lord of The Rings (Any of them)
Harry Potter (Any of them)
Kill Bill
Gangs of New York
English Patient (fell asleep two different times after renting it)
Anything with Jackie Chan except Cannonball Run
...and MANY others

No point, really. Just haven't seen 'em.

all the matrix movies are stupid and predictable, the first jurassic park was o.k., the sequels sucked, all are stupid, the star wars prequels were good, VERY politically correct. the lord of the rings movies are pretty good if you get in to them, very long and detailed. i watched the harry potter films with kids who have read ALL the books, so i was lost. the others you listed seem like they are all "style over substance." kinda like every ron howard movie i've ever seen.

may God have mercy on your soul, as you are obviously very, very lost.

The first Jurassic Park was pretty amazing, especially at the time it came out, for its effects and things, but I never got around to watching the sequels.

The first of the new Star Wars was pretty lame, so I never bothered to watch the second one. Based on the reviews, I didn't miss much and neither did you. ;)

I would definitely recommend Gangs of New York. I was pretty surprised to see it in your list because I feel like it transcends the "big blockbuster" genre, so to speak. Yeah, big cast, big budget, but it was so well done and so impactful on an emotional level.

As for LOTR, I think they've been discussed on your blog before this post, so I won't say too much. I think they also escape the "big blockbuster" tag because the emphasis is squarely on the storytelling, not on big action and special effects (though they do have some of those).
