So You're Tellin' Me There's a Chance

Last night, some friends and I were discussing what we would do if we won the Powerball on Saturday. The jackpot is up to $200,000,000.00. Of course, after taxes you would probably end up with less than $100 million, but who's counting? As it's hard for me to comprehend any sum over a few million dollars, I'm not sure what I would do with the money other than buy a house and probably a fancy car for myself and everyone who is on my shortlist (spaces are limited)---but don't start kissing up just yet: according to the lottery website, chances of winning the full jackpot are 1 in 120,526,770...and of course, I haven't bought a ticket either, but I figure my chances are only slightly less than those who have. Wish me luck.

Ha! I was contemplating the lottery, too, on Sat. when I saw how high the stakes were. "what would I do with it?" Not that I actually contemplate buying a ticket...just musing. I must say, paying my student loans would be #1 priority. Then moving into an apt that doesn't leak, buying a piano, and investing/setting up trust funds for hypothetical children.
