Of eclipises and the end of the world (series, that is)

The total lunar eclipse tonight is a good karmaic sign for the Red Sox. The ancients thought that eclipses were a sign of the end of the world, and since, if the Red Sox win, it will bring on the end of the world, the eclipse is signalling a victory by the Sox.

How's that for convoluted logic?
