Your Urgent Prayers, Please

UPDATE

We received word just a while ago, that despite the blood and tissue match, the organs were too large to successfully transplant, and the surgery has been called off.

This is enough to bring one to tears of frustration and anger. The mental, emotional and spiritual toll on Delane must be immense: to not know for certain if one is spending one's last day alive, or whether one will wake up from surgery with new hope for healing and recovery, and then to have all that nullified in the space of a few minutes is almost beyond cruel.

On behalf of the family, Anna and I thank you for your prayers (and some of you have already sent us word that you have been praying). Continue to keep Delane in your prayers, that through the mercies and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ, Delane might be brought to health and wholeness of body and soul.

--------------

Anna's brother, Delane, will be going into major transplant surgery within the next few hours. One of the transplant doctors flew out to retrieve the organs. There was a blood and tissue match, and now they need to make sure they are the right size. If all is a go, surgery will begin immediately and could last as much as twenty hours. This is a multiple organ transplant. This is obviously a life and death matter. Please pray for Delane's welfare, and for the family.

I will keep this message updated as I learn new information.
