Disgruntlement

I was at the monkey today & overheard a disc-jockey from a local Christian radio station say, "I'm tired of praise and worship music...They're 7-11 songs. The same 7 verses sung 11 times."

Do you agree?

hey girlie, oh my goodness. I am shocked that you heard that. But then again I guess I am not. The weird flip side of that coin is that you hear that one song, "I can only imagine...", on all the secular radio stations. What does that say? I don't even know. I mean I kinda agree with him, but what that was not a very edifying comment for his listeners. It is one thing to hear secular DJ's attack everything in sight, but kinda sickening to hear Christian one turn to this. We are beginning to look so much like the world recognition is no longer possible. God save us from a fate of being spewed.

I agree. Hey Jessie, I got here through BJ's blog and am going to reply. I agree in one respect - that it's praise songs sung in church (which I can't really stand). I say that about churches back home and the fact that all they sing is P&W; songs - the same 7 lines 11 times. So in that respect I agree due to the church setting. But as far as radio is concerned, I think it's fine. Artists are able to do whatever they want to. Some of them are good, some of them are alright, and some of them make a slightly lesser "joyful noise" than the others. *shrug*It's all about preference in the radio world.
