This really pisses me off. Why do people keep selling out to the leftist, liberal, homosexual agenda? Why is the church doing it now? Have these people actually ever read Scripture?
Posted by bhuffine at August 1, 2003 12:41 PM | TrackBackI am in no way supportive of homo-clergy, and neighter am i supportive of homo-anything... But I was taught that all sins were equal, even when it groups homos with white-liars. I believe that anyone that would consider entering the clergy should undergo a personal spiritual examination. Those who sin openly and consistently and arrogantly (no matter the sin) should have no grounds for entering the clergy.
I can't figure out which is harder to believe. The fact that he wants to enter the clergy, or that people actually support him.
Posted by: at August 1, 2003 05:46 PMBoy, this just makes me more and more angry. I don't know what makes me the most angry, the fact that the Episcopal Church would even think about ordaining an openly gay bishop or the fact that "they point out that Robinson and his partner share a committed, monogamous relationship that keeps them within the bounds of Scripture." Can someone point out to me the bounds of Scripture that they are talking about. I don't remember Scripture ever talking about "committed, monogamous relationships" as if that were the standard. They even claimed that his "life of personal integrity and faithfulness qualified him to be a bishop." What kind of integrity? Faithfulness to what? Obviously not Scripture. I just pray that the 100-member House of Bishops shoots down his confirmation and we never hear any more about this guy.

We live in a society that have overwhelmingly approved homosexual activity as a lifestyle choice. Not much point in getting angry; the question is how will the conservative (orthodox) church respond? How do we minister/evangelize to this place and time?
