winter: not a cake-walk

but at least you can find some icing...

I have sort of a love-hate relationship with winter. Actually it's more like an endure-hate relationship. So I'm keeping my eyes open for the odd and the memorable...it's good practice for me to find beauty in less-than-desirable circumstances.

The fourth picture (white one)...is that a bird? And is it living?

I like the street signs/street light picture the best.

like i said, love-hate. :(

Matthew 10:29-31 (NIV)
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

The irony of this: I was walking to class today admiring the icicles and wishing i had a camera to take a picture of them. This of course was after i put my 5 dollar throw away, with doubles free, camera back in my dorm room after i walked outside this morning to take a picture of the snow blanketing the trees and a warm soft sunrise with feathered snow falling on my face.. .. That i did take a picture of... it was nice.

cool. that twisted icicle is outside Crystal's house. i left there at midnight the other night (after we got another 3") and turned the 2-minute drive into a half-hour, stopping at various checkpoints along the way to un-sheathe the camera.

Very Ent-eresting. It is very reminiscent of Tolkien.

I bought myself a digital camera as a nice little christmas present to myself, and I think all I've taken pictures of are my cats. I never think to take it with me so I can capture some spur of the moment splendiferous-ness (it's a real word, I promise!).

Speaking of cool words, ginormous is one of my favorite. But you can only use it sparingly, don't want to wear it's use thin. Remember the law of marginal utility from economics and other such related courses.

Oops, I also meant to let you know that the lamplight picture is my favorite. I can't say why really, just that I like it.
