A Quick Thought As We Ramp Up to Election Day...
If the Republicans and Democrats continue to employ (and increase in emphasis) such sinister campaign tactics (nasty ads, character assasination, actions utilized to further polarize the citizens of this country for the sake of victory, etc.), EVENTUALLY they will both lose. And perhaps, PERHAPS a third party could finally emerge on an equal footing. Or a fourth party. Or a fifth party. Or a sixth. Choice is the operative word here. And I'm all for it.
In an age when we have hundreds of choices in, say, chewing gum, it is perplexing that we allow -- and, worse, viciously promote and defend -- the current two political party landscape.
