I was also at Otakon this year, and I noticed a series drop off in families. A couple years ago there were quite a number of 4 or 5 person families attending.

Uh...I promise you, girls are *far* more likely to crossdress than guys are. I've been to Otakon 4 times, and every single time this has been the case. Maybe it was just harder for you to tell when a girl was dressed up as a guy...?
