As I was watching some "new classics" this weekend, I made a few connections.
• Cheryl from Miss Congeniality ("My idea of a perfect date is April 26th; not too hot, not too cold; all you need is a light jacket") is in You've Got Mail.
• The grandmother in While You Were Sleeping played Mrs. Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins.
I just knew I'd seen the old girl someplace. Mrs. Banks is a singing, dancing hero for us all.
