So the largest to date study of children in daycare is released and what do we find? That children put into daycare for 30+ hours a week (which is the grand majority of daycare children) are far more likely to exhibit discipline problems by the time they are in Kindergarten. The study is a slam dunk for those of us who KNOW that children are better off being raised by a stay at home mother, but even such evidence isn't of much use. Why is that? Because the way the news media is reporting the story is that there is some "interesting" findings from the study of which "those children who are placed in the best daycares perform better in language skills than other children." In other words the news completely avoids the grand corpus of data that denies their world view, and they chose to only report bits and pieces of the report that favor their agenda. Surprised? No.
