there are many creative minds

there are many creative minds out there. This one has read some Coupland, or so it seems.

1. Fall Quarter Two-Thousand is yesterday's news...and it's still today. Praise God for "holidays."
2. I will buy a webcam someday. sounds like fun.
3. I'd like to own a nice leather jacket at some point also...but living in southern California sort of makes them...superfluous?
4. With the millions and millions of books that have been published (not to mention the billions of words still unpublished) how is one to decide what to read? Is it interest? Is it duty? Or is something else?
5. I picked up Miss Wyoming today while meandering through the UCLA bookstore...read the first page. I know it will be a good read; I'll buy it soon. I would have bought it today, but I'm overdrawn.
6. Gore used the "C" word.
7. The Chomsky Reader; "manufacturing consent" I need to read this again.
8. tonight I ought to wash dishes, and do some grocery shopping. We'll see.
9. Life After Darla is going into the studio again this sunday evening (17th). Things have been going well, and I thank God for that.
10. Will I look back on this quarter with disgust?
11. I talked to a girl today who said that she knew after two days that she was going to marry her now fiance. It seems always easy to say after the fact, yes?
12. Before going to bed the other night, after reading up to the "Grand Inquisitor" in Brothers, I picked up Marx and Engels.
13. "the wise are above books." what to think of that? Hey, someone said it.
14. "In every human being, of course, there lurks a beast." ~~ the author. After this quote Ivan goes into graphic detail describing horrible human atrocities against children. He then says..."It isn't God I don't accept, you see; it's the world created by Him, the world of God I don't accept and cannot agree to accept." Tis a tough issue. After reading the grievous acts one is blistered to disagree.
15. "but I wll not take the whole kingdom out of Solomon's hand...I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem." I Kings. God always keeps a remnant "one tribe." God does not break promises, not even to kings dead and buried: "david."
16. Sixteen was a good year. Driving was a blast.
17. When "Castaway," the new Tom Hanks movie comes out, I want to see it. How many of these things that I want cost money? Library books are free.
18. I haven't been running in over 5 days. This chill makes it difficult.
19. I'll be home for Christmas.
