Job 38:1-6
Where were you?

Beloved=I love you.

Beloved, above ALL things I pray that you prosper and be in heath, even as your soul prospereth.

He that winneth souls is wise.

Have the God kind of faith:
Verily Verily I say unto you, that *whosovever* shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but believe that the things that he saith (or continually speaks) shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mike, speak to to the mountain. speak.
Proverbs 6:2, Romans 10:9,10, Romans 4:17
Mark:11:23,24,

IF thou canst believe all things are possible to him who believes.

Do you believe?
Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word, the words are the seeds, as long as the earth remains is seed time and harvest time, luke 6:38,

Hab 2:2, WRITE THE VISION DOWN.
Let me ask you:
have you written down word for word EXACTLY what you want in the wife, as specific as you make a grocery list to make a 30 person meal?

READ HAB 2.2/3 THOUGH IT TARRY WAIT FOR IT, FOR IT SHALL NOT LIE, IT WILL SPEAK!

anyways, that's what I stand on. as far as the wife deal goes.

But God says it is better to be single, but He also said that he wants you to have the DESIRES of your heart?

Is your desire to be single or to be married? I am crucified with Christ and I no longer live, the life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God.

Hey, in eternity, you won't be married or marry, and life is a whiffe of time, a mist, so it won't be long till eternity comes, on the other hand, eternity is a long time, so why not be married while on the earth, and raise a bunch of God loving children to make a ministry and help fill up the lambs book of life like you when you leave this earth?

filling up the book.
that is what it is all about.

Oh, and there is this book called, "if satan can't steal your joy, he cant keep your goods" Before the foundations of the earth God knew you, and I'm sure He also knew how you would in the end choose who you are going to marry, cause he made her too, just for you.

Just like he make Eve, just for Adam.

All for Jesus. All I am and ever hope to be.
Jesus-All for Jesus-All I am, and ever hope to be.

what the cow?

I don't get it either. TC, shouldn't the prayer be to be conformed around Christ, no matter if we're singles or spouses? I just don't get what you have to say there.

yeah, or what in tarnation singleness even has to do with jeep's cherubic smile or the three-day-dirty hair above it. maybe there is some mystical connection, but if so, it's flying loftily and speedily over my own relatively-clean head.

Posted by: joy at November 9, 2004 10:46 AM

Cherubic? Wow.

Cherubic? Wow.

Posted by: jeep at November 9, 2004 08:21 PM

just makin' my point, pal-ly.
don't let it go to your dirty head.

Ok, I'm offended. Here's why:

"Hey, in eternity, you won't be married or marry, and life is a whiffe of time, a mist, so it won't be long till eternity comes, on the other hand, eternity is a long time, so why not be married while on the earth, and raise a bunch of God loving children to make a ministry and help fill up the lambs book of life like you when you leave this earth?

"filling up the book.
that is what it is all about."

It certainly is all about filling up the book AND testifying to the coming of the kingdom (which I'm not sure TC actually implied) whether people get saved or not. But it is a COP-freaking-OUT to say, "Oh, I do this by having children. I don't actually reach out to hurting, hungry, or heathen people in Jesus' name. I just reach out by bearing kids and raising them up to be privileged, insular, holy people who are successful."

No, it's not a cop-out. It's a sin. And saying that implies that I am in the wrong because I'm choosing singleness right now. I choosing the freaking poverty-stricken world of Islam, for crying out loud. Officially offended I am. Mental image: Yoda at his angriest.

Minus the ears.

Thanks for letting me rant.

Bobbo,

You're right, and you are good at putting into words the reaction I was having to that particular thing TC said. You know, I am in the midst of singleness now, too, and I spend tons of time loving on and crying over and working for kids in my classroom. Those kids have needs, man! Now, you may go to Calcutta, but I will use my singleness here and now for the students' sake.
