Not that I'm Peter Gammons or anything but here is my take on Ankiel. It was a great story tarnished by a little boost/help from his friend HGH. Even if he didn't take it in the past 12 months he still took it plain and simple.
Now the thing that is so stupid, MLB doesn't even test for HGH. So its illegal, but you don't test for it, so is it really illegal. Thats like saying its illegal to rob a bank but we're not going to police it. If you happen to rob a bank next to a police station and we happen to see it.... well we might arrest you.
