Last Gift

I had to post something so that when the first thing I saw when I hit holtonian wasn't the twisted sister guy's ugly mug.

I received my final birthday present from my inlaws this weekend and it was really awesome.

Boring Backstory: For the past 4 years I'd been looking for a worthy CD holder to hold all my cds. Unfortunatley most are either too modern or too ugly. I wanted something that was a piece of furniture, but didn't look like something from a dorm room.

I had used a plastic tower of sorts for years but we didn't like it as it was ugly so we left it in the old house.

So fast forward to this weekend and my inlaws made me a mahogony (ithink) cd shelf/book shelf about chest high. The thing looks amazing and the stained it to match, our armoire that we stained ourselves.

The only hook is the thing holds more cds than I have so I'll have to remedy that.

Also on the birthday front: The pod coffee maker that janelle got for me didnt' work so we ended up having to return it. Kind of a bummer but the thing wouldn't lock into place. Though if I'm going to get one of these things I think I'd want this one.

This is the kind we have at work and the brand I have come to know and love. But they're expensive and I'd rather concentrate on filling up my cd shelves.
