My work life and home life have been running me a bit ragged the past week or two. My whole family came this past weekend to visit us, and say 'bye bye' to Concerned (Going to Korea for a year).
I feel bad, because between having to work this weekend due to a project and the Final Four being in Atlanta I haven't been able to join in any sort of tourist activities. That and with three kids it made it nearly impossible with nap schedules and a three car caravan to go anywhere. It was sort of every one for themselves to do stuff. Downtown's been real crowded, and though it might have been fun to come down here and see the festivities the hassle factor far outweighed it. Mostly because of the kids.
We took Anna-kate to an easter egg hunt up in Smryna on Saturday, but we got there 10 minutes late and all the kids had gotten all the eggs already. I mean seriously some of these kids had 50 eggs to themselves... they should put a limit on it or something. We asked a family if we could have one of their eggs and they begrudedingly said yes. Whatever, we didn't care, share your blasted eggs you yuppies! Then our church had an easter egg hunt yesterday but it was during her nap and we weren't about to sacrifice nap time for easter eggs.
We went Jim and Nick's BBQ on South Cobb yesterday after church. It was ok, but, man, it was pricey. I got a rib and pork combo and it was $18! I mean it was more food than i could handle but I miss the stickey's already. Their rib and pork combo was like 8 bucks.
I think the wife will do a bit more of the tourist stuff today by takin the fam to Ikea. That whole Atlanta Station area is pretty cool. Then after that wife will take Anna-Kate home for nap time and they can go do some touristy stuff downtown.
