So 24 was beastily tonight... I'm using that word a lot more lately. If you didn't see it or last nights, Crabb, find it and watch it because this show was intense. I wish we had a real Jack Bauer... then maybe Iraq wouldn't be such a mess. Jack Bauer is my hero, that and Spiderman... but I'm not sure how effective Spidey would be in Iraq.
Posted by holtonian at January 15, 2007 10:19 PM | TrackBackRecorded and watched the first two hours last night; forgot to set the DVD-R and got side-tracked with a bunch of crapola tonight (you'll have to call me to hear about the details). I wonder if/when they'll rebroadcast it? Don't want to have to pay $1.99 to download it from iTunes, as there's an issue with video playing correctly on my current intall of iTunes anyway.
Posted by: Scott at January 15, 2007 10:39 PMI saw it. That was pretty intense. I haven't watched any before this season - which started last night, right? So, I wasn't sure how it compared to the other episodes.
Posted by: Chris T. at January 15, 2007 11:20 PMScott you can buy Sunday night and modnay nights episodes on dvd... it came out today... man they're marketing it like crazy.
Posted by: holton at January 16, 2007 10:26 AMThat kind of bothers me a bit...that they're selling the DVD already for just four episodes (2 2hr. shows). I want to get into the series, but I feel like I'm behind already. But I'm not going to go out and plunk down $20 just to catch up on something I'm not committed to yet (no matter how good people say it is). I wish Fox would post the shows online after the fact like other networks. For example, I know several people who have gotten into Heroes just by watching them online. You can still make advertising revenue by streaming the show. On demand over the internet is the wave of the future...just look at what Netflix is doing now. :)
Posted by: Scott at January 16, 2007 11:23 AMYeah I filled in the blanks with heros. I missed a few shows on that one. NBC so far has the best online thing I've seen. You can skip around parts of the show and yous till see the ads to keep them making $$.
ABC's is too cumbersome and takes up too much virtual memory. For a guy with a junk computer that's important. Everytime I've watched an ABC show its slowed my comp way down or crashed it.
I'm kind of annoyed though that teh networks are choosey on what shows tehy put on there. Liek the office NBC biggest show is not on there, you have to buy it on itunes.
Also the wife likes a few shows on ABC taht sometimes aren't on there site. Brian and that family show on sunday nights. Sometimes those are on there, sometimes they're not.
I like how NBC put the entire season of heros on there, that was classy.
Posted by: holton at January 16, 2007 11:49 AMScott, I can see myself getting into 24 like we were into Alias...I know you were a fan...I think you'll like it. Do y'all netflix? I bet they'd have it.
Posted by: Janelle at January 16, 2007 09:09 PMScott, its 2 bucks for each individual hour on amazon, thus 2 bucks an episode b/c basically sunday and monday were four episodes... its wroth it... they were amazingly good.
Posted by: HOLTON at January 17, 2007 10:04 AMYeah, 1.99 per hour on Amazon Unbox...but proprietary software is needed to view it and you have to watch it on your PC (doesn't work with Macs). I also don't see an option to burn to DVD. For $9.99 (two bucks more) you can have the DVD that you can watch anywhere. However, I did record the first two hours on my DVD-R, so for 4 bucks I might suck it up and watch it at home (can't do it while I'm traveling because all I have is my work PC...non-approved software is a no-no).
Posted by: Scott at January 17, 2007 11:16 AMSo I was bored here in Franklin last night and picked up the S6 Premiere DVD at Tarjhay. The best part...getting to watch the first 12 minutes of Episode 5 :D
Posted by: Scott at January 18, 2007 09:42 AMGood stuff eh? Man i gotta figure out how to watch 24 at my grandparents inlaw house.
