Is anyone else having problems with their comcast internet lately? Pretty much this whole week our internet has been jack slow. I'm about to tear my hair out over it.

Posted by: James at April 13, 2005 11:42 PMNope. It is a problem with Comcast. They screwed up their DNS. Check out the article for some things that might help. Check it out
Posted by: crabby at April 13, 2005 11:54 PMYeah, I actually called Comcast around midnight and they said it was a national problem. They did not give a resolution time, but it came up not too long after.
I have been having problems off and on for the last two weeks. I'm calling them and asking for a credit on my bill.

Posted by: Scott at April 14, 2005 01:17 AMChris, you need to take that darn filter thing off of your blog. Obviously it did not work. I posted the first comment, but was prompted to "correct the error in my comment." The freaking ridiculous thing is that it doesn't identify the error. So I remove the word "Comcast" and it posts. Then I see that both comments posted.
I've had this problem on other Chattablogs blogs, and if the spam protection is going to be this hardcore then it'll mean people will stop commenting. Then people will stop posting. Pretty soon no one will visit the blogs anymore. Okay, that's a bit of a slippery slop but you get the drift.
Posted by: Scott at April 14, 2005 01:21 AMThe filter isn't maintained by individual bloggers. It's a central thing. And I'm okay with the filtering, because otherwise we'd be flooded with so much spam that the servers would crash. It's happened before.

Posted by: Concerned at April 14, 2005 08:05 AMI had the same problem last night.
Posted by: JosiahQ at April 14, 2005 08:51 AMI've been having problems with service since I signed up for it. Mostly, these have been billing problems, but in the last few weeks my connection has slowed to a snail's pace and then dropped out completely. I hadn't had this problem before. At first, I thought I was having problems with my wireless. I reconfigured everything and did some basic checks only to learn that it wasn't my wireless going wacko bazoo. The bandwidth was just randomly bottoming out every few seconds for some reason. Grumble...
