We made a McKay's run yesterday and I got a good haul for some stuff I didn't want anymore. I got a Ryan Adams cd which was cool, Oni (a computer game), spiderman the dvd, and Ronin the dvd, and the wife got casablanca. I must say getting Spiderman was cool. It was a brand new copy for 7 bucks widescreen and I'm psyched about it cause I've only seen the movie once. Ronin I've always thought was one of those movies that was really cool and nobody knew it was. Its got the best car chase scene since any Steve Mcqueen movie. Plus it has a very Mission Impossible feel to it. It was 5 buck or so, so I deem it cool. Oni is a kind of a weird little game that is anime and basically you're this chick that goes around beating people up. I played the demo and deemed the game for 5 bucks was good. plus I know it will work on my computer so I should be good. Crabb dawg let me borrow Tron 2 but not sure if it will work on my computer, I may just hang on to it till I get a new one cause the way he described the game makes me think I'd really like it.
We watched the new Peter pan last night, it was OK, not really all that great in my opinion. Frankly I had a hard time following it. Plus the love story between peter and wendy is really creepy. I'm sorry but kids shouldn't A. Kiss B. Fall in love till like 20. Plus the movie had this campy Manheim Steamroller esque soundtrack that was just cheeze wiz.
1. we all know about ronin, outside of blackwatch & rivendell, and you're right, that car chase scene freaking rocks
2. the romance between peter & wendy was even more intense in the book, in fact, it was downright scandalous, especially for its time
3. you were the one who sent out the e-mail invite to the lunch list, only person I've invited is stephen and he's on the list. If, you know, the BBQ is too much trouble for you we can always do it somewhere else
1. Josiah, you are so cool, let me bow before your coolness...
2. Kids ain't supposed to have hormones till their 20s. They should get their kicks the same way i did, by playing alone in their room with their video games.
3. The whole thing is fine, we just had mrs. mehne come up to us at Sams and tell us she's coming to the party. not a big deal, but the fact that she wasn't on the email list it surprised us. We were just curious as to who all was coming. No worries matey. We're looking forward to having people come up and hang. Also a possible football game of sorts would still be really cool. Forgive me for posting that, it was my mistake.
I left Dr. Doom up there. I miss him already. Bring him next weekend.
