Today was covenant's graduation. It was aight. It was neat to see some of the guys I mentored take those final steps... oh wait i mentored no one. In fact I probably had little to no impact on the guys except for encouraging more video game play and telling the guy on blackwatch to enjoy ever precious minute because once you graduate its over and life hits you in the face like a wet noodle!
Yeah, its funny graduation is this huge celebration to people. Looking back I wish I could just tell Prez Neilson, "Uh actually i don't want to go to the real world, um I'm gonna change my major and take another 4 years of my life to hide from the real world."
Listen up you fresh grads, life ain't fun afta school. I mean it can be but working ain't as fun as studying. You don't do your homework, no biggie you can make up for it. You don't go to work, you're fired. Plus my video game playing time is no more, as compared to college time. Not when there's bills to pay and lawns to mow. I feel like Billy Madison and want to run up to all the fat grads, grab them by their jowls, and tell them to "Cherish it!"
Yeah graduation ain't no celebration, its more like a kick in the you know what. Now when I got a job four monthes later, then it was time to celebrate.
