Wifey Got the Job! She will accept it tomorrow and discuss all the details. It'll pay a little less than we wanted but we both really think it will be for the best. Mainly cause we can get a car and more moolah. She starts monday and we're already searching for cars. I searched the internet and have a huge head ache, i hate the world wide web its too vast. I may try the world wide world tomorrow on the way home from work. We've done research and the Pathfinder seems to be the best car around so now its a matter of finding one we can afford and that won't be so un nice that we wish we had the Cav back. The Xterra turned out to be a kind of a mediocre car so we may ditch that idea. I found a few Pathfinders I can investigate but its so hard searching for cars because you finally find one you want and its gone the next day. We'll see. Work is ok just wish the weekend was here.
I took Wifey out to the North Shore Grill and we had a nice dinner. She got the Lodon Broil against my advice, I adviced a Filet since its the only really juicy cut of steak you can get at a restaurant. It was ok, she liked it, I thought it tasted like fajita meat. I got the crab dinner for one which was entirely too much crabb and too much work for food. We then came home and searched for cars. Thanks to all who'd been praying for Wifey, we really do appreciate it and are praying for all our friends that are still searching. You know who you are, and just remember you'll always have a swansons dinner with your name on it at the Holtons. adios
Holtie, not that your old woman has a job I guess she has a chance at turning into your sugar mommma. Then you could quit yours and just turn into a full time sex machine.
Are those friends of yours who are too lazy to even be in the job market (uh, me) also welcome for dinner?
Posted by: Lutz at September 11, 2003 12:27 AMCongratulations on the employment and the crab dinner, but must you really get an SUFV? You don't have to become a toolbox, Holtie-Joo. You can be a yuppie with class and environmental consciousness.
Or you could be like me, an impoverished schmuck driving a busted-ass minivan. Woo hoo.
Posted by: mesh at September 11, 2003 08:31 AMCongrats on the job, definitely. It's a tough market out there still, as we experienced upon moving to Chattanooga earlier this year.
As for the SUV, I tend to agree with Mesh. At least you don't want an Expedition or a Hummer, though.

Posted by: charity at September 11, 2003 03:57 PMChris, get whatever the heck car you want. If it'll serve you well, you can afford it, and you'll enjoy it, then get it.
Posted by: nick at September 13, 2003 01:03 AMChris, as Jesse and I were discussing, the only reason you are getting the SUV is because Janelle is making you and you can't say no. You were always so much against SUVs and promised you would never get one. It is amazing how women can force you to go against everything you believe in.
Posted by: Jay Nelson at September 13, 2003 05:59 PMChristopher you know its naughty to buy SUVs...
