Welp Pilgrims, another day of doing a lot of nothing has bit the dust. I'll catch you up on the past two days. Yesterday i met my boss and she took the new hirees out to lunch at TGIF. If you know me, you know how much i like to eat out, so needless to say i was looking forward to this, but my dang cold kept me stuffed up and i couldn't taste a thing! I might as well have eaten styrofoam that at least would have had some fiber. Then we went back to work and surfed yahoo for the rest of the afternoon. Last night we went out because our friend Jay was in town and went to Queerdoba a new lame mexican restaurant down town. On Chris's scale of restaurants it rates very low, almost as low as Hardees. It lacks the class and atmosphere of a real mexican restaurant and lacks the cheap food of Taco Bell. Now i only had half of my taste buds because of my cold, but the half of the food i tasted was not worth my money.

Just kidding hahaha.
Today was at least a little productive. They finally got our benefits logon so we got to set up our benefits which was informative and interesting. Then we did some online training that was pretty easy. I also tried to drink a nalgene bottle of water every hour, needless to say i went to the bathroom a lot which was great because as i stated before going to the bathroom kills at least five-ten minutes. Every day we've gotten out early which is nice and i doubt tomorrow will be much different.
I really like the sound of my job, i talked with my boss about it today and it sounds like i'll be taking a look at accounts and analyzing why accounts lost money or made money and I think attempting to help influence future decisions underwriters make. I think... but then again it may end up being different. This position hasn't existed in Chattanooga before so its kind of new to all the people here. But training starts next week and I'll be taking tests and classes till december. Hopefully I'll do well on these tests, quizes and what not otherwise i get fired. But I figure my good looks will get me through... oh wait i'm ugly... dang.
Well I think you are beautiful.
Posted by: Strow at August 15, 2003 12:05 AMoh cmon, youre not ugly. but WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT W/ HARDEES?!! that place rocks. the entire state of texas longs for hardees to return and deliver us from our hardees-less exile. HARDEES is the sole reason i have to return to covenant for my senior year! have you ever been to the one in trenton? i went with matt a. and the micah parsons project and we had some memorable moments with some fascinating people (read country bumpkins) while eating fabulous HARDEES food. you dissed hardees and you dissed your own dashing good looks...admit it, youre trippin.
Posted by: dp at August 15, 2003 02:31 AMYa, I mean, that post was beautiful Holton, but that shite about Hardees was outta line. At Hardess you find the just left of the heartbeat/soul of America. Those people who just aren't quite into Nascar enough, yet aren't poor enough to live in a trailer park. Hardees is the eating place for the middle children of America. You can't diss it man.
Posted by: JosiahQ at August 15, 2003 11:06 AMA St. Louis Hardees isn't the same as a Hardees anywhere else. So...whats your boss like? eh? Single? eh? Come on hook Concerned up. Naughty boss.
Posted by: Concerned at August 15, 2003 05:02 PMFirst off DP, you guys have Wattaburger so don't be complaining that place is like burger king without the cool crowns, i liked it. Second off Hardees sucks. You know a burger joint is bad when the start an advertising campaign that has them saying, "We know we've made some mistakes in the past but let us have your business back." And you know a restaurant is bad if everytime you have gone there you have gotten deathly sick and your colon wishes you had never been born. Thirdly Concerned aka brother, my boss is married, i think, and has kids. But if you want come up to chatty and find a lady. That can ryme if you say it right.
Posted by: holtonian at August 16, 2003 11:16 AMBut it only rhymes if you pronouce "lady" as "laddie." Which creeps the whole thing up.
