I also thought things wrapped up a little too conveniently last night.

Time travel would have been a good Rimbaldi device function, but they would have had to make the future more terrible. She has motivation to go back in time 2 years, but not enough motivation, not enough has changed.

Plus, and this has bothered me the whole time... I dig the Rimbaldi thing, but it really doesn't fit in with the spy theme. I don't think all this supernatural stuff works well with the series, and time travel would be over the top.

And yes, I know there is a scientific spin to all the Rimbaldi stuff, but it still seems too Voodoo to me ;)

Very interesting theory, about time travel, though it would be a little hard to mesh with what ended up happening in the episode last night. We were thinking that maybe the CIA or NSC were involved in her disappearance somehow. It seemed a little too easy for her to get what she wanted -- the chip, her dad's freedom, etc.

A colleague of mine last year thinks the Rimbaldi device is a time travel machine that that Sydney got popped 2 years into the future. That would explain why she has been missing for 2 years. And it would give Sloane and his cronies power over her, so she would want them to send her back 2 years.

John and his wife Genia got me into Alias last season. Actually, the season finale was the first episode I ever saw. I could kill them because it was so good and sucked me right in and all I wanted to know all summer was what the heck happened.
