it's that time again

friends and people I don't know - welcome, hope you are doing well. I am doing okay. I still feel insane with the smoke free lifestyle and it's kind of wierd to feel again. Life is good though. I mean I think it's pretty good, I didn't get to see any family this season, which was sad, i do miss my family. But I borrowed Susans and it was a whole lot easier to manage and not get depressed. The Hawkins are nice, and fun to be with. As another year ticks to it's end I realize that I don't want to admit that I am still here thinking the same thoughts and hoping without follow-through about things in my future. I want to be smarter, more spiritual, more together, more honest, more emotionally engaged with the world around me, kinder, gentler, more willing to see the good in anything and anyone around me... anyway it doesn't feel that way, so I guess it's here that I am at bay, I just keep hoping that the stay isn't permanent... a few of us are going camping for new years... should be a blast... maybe a little cold but we'll bring fire..... wow... warm... smores.... blankets, .... no rain... flashlights, campstove, cooler, beer, mikes hard lemonade. thoughts of renewal... and things like that... take care. and I will see you in 2006.... hopefully... brian

Growing up isn't ever what we think it will be, huh? Can we go camping with you next year? Do you mind lots of little kids throwing things in the fire and digging in the dirt. On the plus side, if you let them sleep in your tent their little bodies will keep you warm as they snuggle around you like puppies. Woah, that was a little weird. Anyway, we love you and susan. We miss you, too. We will see you again when it is time. Until then we will think of you lots, and grow fonder still!
