"No, for the last time, I am positive that I am not George Hamilton!"
John Kerry's staffers insist that his new tan is the result of a flag football game last week at Harvard. Regardless of the cause, CBS' graphical comparison of pre-tan and post-tan John Kerry makes him look like a cadaver.
Gross.

What's up with the yellow bracelet he's wearing in the photo at top? I saw Edwards wearing one of those once, too. Maybe they say "WWHD," for "What Would Hamilton Do?"
Posted by: hugo at September 28, 2004 11:12 AMThat's a LIVESTRONG bracelet. You buy them for a buck and the money goes to the Lance Armstrong foundation for cancer research. Or something like that.
My facts may not be straight, but that's the gist of it. It's a Lance Armstrong thing and the bracelets cost a buck that goes to do something having to do with cancer.
I'm starting to see these bracelets everywhere. I'm thinking Kerry's was recommended by his "people," who said it would give him something in common with the common man and make him look like he's compassionate. And because yellow stands out, people will ntoice it and vote for him because, in increasing numbers, they have one too.

Posted by: martin bradley at September 28, 2004 05:33 PM" I was born on the coast. In the days before Telivison I stood in the sun in corners so distraught with worry that they took shade underneath the trees just because they felt like it. This was the America that I knew. It has all changed now. These days anybody can get into an Ivy league school. But how many people can live on the beach. I think only 50 can truly live on the beach. At least the beach that I go to summer at. It's private, you know!
I walk on horizons and then laugh at the profundity. And then, after a glass of wine and sunset on the beach, I dream about how I can better serve Massachusettes."
