Oops! Newspapers can be dumb...

John Kerry announced that John Edwards will be his running mate. But the New York Post said it would be Dick Gephardt. The story has now been pulled from their website, but I was able to snag the above pic.

I believe the sound I heard after the announcement was the election officially going to Bush...oh well. I'm not sure any running mate could have saved Kerry.

Really? Why...? If you listen to the radio, watch TV, read a newspaper, visit the internet, or even go the movies, it seems like Bush is destined to lose...

that's why I avoid all those things, b/c they tell me stuff that I'm certain cant be true.

I know what everyone's saying, but they're wrong. I'm right. Not "Right," but right. I don't want Bush to win, but Kerry's choice of running mate is NOT strong enough to pull in votes from people like me who weren't sure who they were going to vote for before he announced his VP candidate. If that makes sense.

I'm stuck yet again with two candidates I don't like, but I know I will get mocked for not voting, then complaining about the state of things. Can't win.

Completely off-topic -- have you ever looked at a word so long you can't remember how it's spelled?

libertarian is one such word...:)

Back to the pic: it also kinda looks like Kerry is diving in to kiss Gephardt. Might swing a few votes here or there, one way or the other...

I still think the race is too close to call (unless I throw my hat in the ring, in which case I appear to have sown it up), but Edwards is a terrific pick: inspiring, eloquent, youthful, Southern. Everything Dick Cheney isn't.

He's also inexperienced, unproven, hotheaded, and contradictory to his running mate...everything Dick Cheny isn't. Now I'm a Southerner by birth and by the grace of God, but Southern Deomcrats stopped being my choice with Carter. Only Zel Miller carries the torch in the true tradition of a Southern Dem. Here in Florida, I quit voting for Bob Grahm after he stopped thinking and acting on behalf of his constituants and started toating the party line.

Yeah, except Cheney brings wisdom whereas Edwards brings his backpack. Mesh don't be swayed by the media man, they shove it down our throats and tell you what to believe. As a cool hip dude, you should think for yourself, and not watch tv, read the news, and just make up your opinion without any frame of refrence like me. That way you remain unspoiled by the likes of libs and right wingers... i wonder if Brett Hull is a right winger... politically speaking
