In researching a piece I'm working on discussing various ethnic peoples' unique baby names, I came across this chart from an old issue of the Onion. I almost broke a rib laughing, and thought I should post it here.

Posted by: p-fieldshawty at July 2, 2004 10:54 AMIt's fake...It's called satire...
Posted by: Bill Colrus at July 2, 2004 11:07 AMI met a very large, jovial black girl working at a Holiday Inn in Eufala, AL once who went by the appelation "Clemidia". She was named after her God-parents, Clem & Lidia. She was very nice... I guess you could say her personality was infectious. Sorry, I couldn't resist. No shit though, that was her name and she was wider than all outside.
Posted by: Chuck at July 3, 2004 03:46 PMWe don't know where p-fieldshawty is popular at either...maybe The Onion should put together a "popular nicknames for homies" chart?
Posted by: blur at July 28, 2004 04:18 PMI don't know where you got this list, but I have never met any black man that goes by the name of Newport or LaPrell or of any woman that would name her child fucking Propecia or Sinatab. You should really do a little more research.
Posted by: Danielle at August 10, 2004 03:00 PMThis is called "satire." It's fake and is supposed to be "funny." I got it from the Onion, a funny, satirical web site.
