Johnny Cash AND John Ritter both died early this morning.
Cash was 71. Ritter was 54.
Cash had been sick for quite awhile, but the news about Ritter was a big shock. He was enjoying a resurgence of his career, and seemed like a decent guy. His performance in "Sling Blade" was very good. He will be missed.
Posted by colrus at September 12, 2003 10:03 AM | TrackBackYears ago, Ritter played a pastor on a made-for-TV movie. The character was a Fuller grad. After his years on "Three's Company," I was somewhat offended that he would play a Christian.
But I was younger then.
Posted by: Bill Crawford at September 12, 2003 11:09 AMI heard about Johnny Cash on the radio this morning. It was sad.
I mentioned his passing to my Algebra II class and they told me about Ritter. I almost wept. I couldn't believe it.
And Pauly Shore STILL roams the earth.
Posted by: podge at September 12, 2003 11:15 AMHe was great in Sling Blade. Perhaps his best role. Not funny haha but funny queer.
Speaking of queer, that show is great. My skin has never been smoother and the back waxing really wasn't that bad.
