Drinking Water

In an attempt to lose some weight, I've decided to start biking and replace Coke with water in my diet. I used to be an athlete, but years of weird work hours and too much time in front of a computer has my body astray.

Biking is cool, and I am looking for a new mountain bike, as I bought Melissa a cool Nishiki one last week...

The water for Coke trade, however, is a tough one as I am a Coke-aholic...Really bad...Well, this is day two, so wish me the best...

Good luck. I'm on day 4 of my new "no Coke" plan. Two cans of Coke is 360 calories, and you only need to drop 500 calories a day from your diet to lose a pound a week. So nixing the coke and adding a little exercise (I'm lifting weights) should be all it takes.

Try limiting yourself to one a day; two if you drink the little half-cans.

Don't try to go cold turkey or the caffeine curse will bite you in the rump.

Besides, I love coke too much to give it up. Some days I have 3 or 4. But I try to keep it at 1 or 2, preferrably 1.

Water's just so... bland. Dtink your 64 oz, then get some fruit juice.

I'd suggest lugging that bike downtown and hitting some of the bike routes/lanes. No helmet on Broad Street = more fun. Here's a link to the downtown bike routes.

Thanks, man! Any ideas on where to get a good deal on a bike? Looking for a Trek/Mongoose/Nishiki mountain bike. Used is OK.

Do you play raquetball? I'm horrible, but I'd love to play again (for the first time in over 4 years)

Oh you mean Coca-cola, I was wondering how anyone could get fatter being a cocaine fiend.

Expensive bikes are ok I guess, I wouldn't know. My $75 bike from Sam Walton has served me well for over 2 years now. The more expensive a bike is, the more expensive it is to fix.
