6 weeks ago I ordered a digital camera for my father-in-law from etechwarehouse, but the company never sent the camera. They did bill us for it though. I assume Visa will take care of the problem. Never buy from them.
So weeks of untaken baby pictures later Jerry called me and asked if I'd run by Bestbuy and pick one up. Well, wanting to restore some consumer confidence in ecommerce I ordered the camera pictured above from PC Connection for around $300.00. They did ship promptly, in under 12 hours, but they sent this camera instead.
Valued at $699.00 it was a bitterseet box opening, because even though the invoice had the camera I paid for, I knew I would have to do the right thing and let them know the error. I emailed them, they responded saying Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we'll pay for the shipping to return this one and send you the correct camera, or bill us the $400 difference.
I know I did the right thing, but sometimes it makes me feel like an idiot when I do. Can't they throw in a memory stick or something for my honesty?
