Since we moved into the new place, Rachel and I decided to wait on getting cable. It's not a problem. The only things I watch on TV come on the networks and I can pick them up with an antenna (except for Fox - I miss 24). But I have to say, I really miss cable modem. Even though I was on the wireless router before and it was possibly the slowest cable modem of all time, it was still faster than 26.2 dial up. The problem is, even if we decide it's worth paying for cable, there's only one cable outlet and it's downstairs, so we would have to pay even more to have extra outlets installed upstairs. I guess I'll have to decide if I really want to pay for my lack of patience.

Posted by: svenska at January 23, 2004 10:57 AMI have cable now. It's soooooo nice. 300k downloads and I'm on a network too. Let the jealousy wash over you. I know you miss your bloody, gory internet deathmatches. Oh wait, I mean internet spades. I think gender differences are rarely more obvious than online.
And yes it IS 4:00am and I can't go to sleep.
Posted by: Gray at January 24, 2004 03:02 AMHave you considered DSL? SBC is offering it out here for $26.95/mo. That's like 7 lattes. Small price to pay to get yourself out of the mid-nineties, technologically speaking.
