I don't usually endorse reality TV (with the exception of Survivor, of course), but this just looks too funny. "What is Wal-mart?" What a life. At least they have a sense of humor about their lifestyles...I don't think I would be able to do such a thing: the thought of plucking a chicken or sharing a bathroom with 10 people doesn't appeal to me either, and I'm no heiress (contrary to what you might hear).
I doubt all heiresses are (1) airheads and (2) willing to interrupt their lives to see how other people live (though I'm sure the country bumkins on the show are exaggerrated). The producers of the show really got lucky with these two girls. Of all the rich kids out there, they happened to find two who are either really dumb or really good at pretending to be dumb. This is my favorite quote from the girls: “It was like we were Michael Jackson,” says Richie. “They wrote that our skirts were too short. They said we came to church in fur coats. It hurt my feelings. I never went to church!”
How insulting!
Okay Chris9, it looks like no one else is gonna say it and I'm used to being an online jerk so here goes. The new design: blech yuck and aieeeee! I gots to say I'm not a fan. That's all.
Have a nice day :-D
Posted by: The Dane at October 14, 2003 10:10 AMThank you for your honesty, brutal as it may be. If I was a genius web designer like yourself, it would certainly look different, but I am severely HTML-challenged.
Posted by: Christin at October 14, 2003 10:13 AMI really like the design. I like the colors. I like the layouts. I like the title pic. I LIKE IT.
Posted by: Jeannette at October 14, 2003 02:20 PMReally, I'm fine with the design - which is basically the same format as your old design. It's the colour scheme that is giving me hives. Lavender and brown? :-D Granted, my site is very green....
Posted by: The Dane at October 14, 2003 03:32 PMI ADORE the title of this blog entry. I've been saying it to myself over and over today... celebutantes. celebutantes.
It cracks me up.
Posted by: Shannon at October 14, 2003 04:47 PMThe Dane, just take some Benadryl before you visit...should help those hives. Like most of my colo(u)r schemes, I'm sure this one will be short-lived.
And it's blue, not lavender. ; )
Christin, I like it. It matches Sophie's diaper bag.
Posted by: Amy at October 15, 2003 09:27 AMThat's the important thing: making Sophie feel at home.
Posted by: Christin at October 15, 2003 09:40 AMNice observation, Amy. I think maybe you need to get out a little more, but it does match. I like that bag.
Posted by: Shannon at October 15, 2003 09:40 AMI've heard a lot about this fabled diaper bag, but I've never actually seen it. Either it is made up or I am SERIOUSLY out of the loop.
Posted by: Patrick at October 15, 2003 11:02 AMI dig da design.
Posted by: JosiahQ at October 15, 2003 11:12 AM*cries* that's horrible (The show I mean)
