Interview

::Okay, I've seen this blog-interview thing going around for a while and I'm finally going to participate. These questions came from Rus.::

1. Where do you feel the safest and most emotionally nurtured? Your home or apartment, church, at your parent's house, your bedroom, etc.? Why?

That's a pretty tough question, because I'm the type of person who is usually happy wherever I am. For example, when I lived in Idaho, I was happy to be there and didn't really think about going home to Texas. However, when I was in Texas, I didn't really think about going back to Idaho either. Now that I live in Louisiana, I'm happy here too. I love my apartment, I have a great roommate, and I feel completely comfortable there, but as I expressed last week, sometimes I just need to go to my parents house. There's something so comforting about being there with them. Of course, I love my church, too and feel nurtured there, but the nurture that comes from worship is different from the nurture that comes from home. I could take up a whole new paragraph with that.
Did that answer the question? I guess that was a vague answer, but I need them all: my apartment, my parents house and my church for different reasons.

2. What is your idea of true romance?

That's hard to answer, since I've never experienced it, but I'll give it a shot anyway. The idea of being able to be completely comfortable around someone...to really be myself...and to know him completely, in the same way, sounds unbelievably appealing.

3. If you suddenly inherited $100 million what would you spend the rest of your life doing?

I think I would spend some of my time travelling to places I've always wanted to go, but I would also buy a home where I could do a lot of entertaining and treat my guests to the time of their lives. If that didn't keep me busy, I might open either a decorating business or a party-throwing business of some sort.

4. If you could eat dinner with any three people in the world--living or dead--who would you choose? Why? And where would you eat? :-)

I don' think I'd like to eat with any dead people. I think I'd lose my appetite. But seriously...I'm not the star-struck type, so I can't think of many celebrities I would like to get to know.
I guess, being the Jane Austen fan that I am, I would've liked to have met her. We would have to eat somewhere simple, so she wouldn't be distracted by all the modernity. We could have a picnic or something.
My second choice would be P.G. Wodehouse, because I bet he'd be a pretty funny guy. Again, I can't think of a great place to go, but I can imagine eating with him at a smoky pub of some sort.
And my third choice...well, I can think of a person or two I'd like to have a nice dinner with, but I'm not going to name names. ; )

5. You and I go to the grocery. I agree to buy any five items you want. What would you get?

Well, since I'm out of a lot of groceries right now, I might be tempted to just get some milk and eggs and other basics. But if you were going to buy me anything, I'd take advantage and get some good stuff. I'd buy some filet mignon, some lobster or shrimp, a nice bottle of wine to go with it, a good loaf of bread from the bakery, and some nice, dark coffee.

::If you woud like to participate too, here are your instructions:
1. Leave me a comment saying “interview me.”
2. I will respond by asking you five questions (not the same as you see here).
3. You will update your blog/site with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

And the cycle continues, on and on and on...
I'll warn you now: it's easier said than done.::

Well, I would say to interview me, but that would take updating my site. Nevermind. Interview Bart.

I want to go shopping with YOU! :-) Great choices. And great answers on the rest of them. I didn't think it would be as much fun reading these interview answers as it's been; but I've really enjoyed it. Thanks for joining in, Christin!

Hmm, should I take offense that my wife used her previous URL in commenting? Nah, go ahead and construct questions for both of us ... or you can add me too. Whichever.
