I finished Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets last night. I'm pleased that I decided to read the first 2 books, even though I saw the movies because, as usual, the books were much better. Plus, I found a typo in the book. Do you think that makes it more valuable?...a rare error edition. (Maybe I've just been around a baseball card junkie too long.) I couldn't wait to start The Prisoner of Azkaban. I read the first chapter last night even though I could barely hold my eyes open. Most people I've talked to say Azkaban is the best one of the five...we'll see.
Posted by christin at July 24, 2003 02:00 PM | TrackBackWe stopped at the library today and I was going to check out the first H.P. book, and guess what? Of course it's not there. The librarian said they never stay more than a day. Guess I'll have to suck it up and buy the thing. I never buy books... why, when I can get them at the library for free?
Say, now that YOU'RE done, maybe I could borrow YOURS.
heehee
Posted by: Shannon at July 24, 2003 03:57 PMActually, I borrowed it from Emily. However, you and I have some mutual family members who own all five. Maybe you could get it from them...but not the 5th one yet, because Emily doesn't have that one.
Posted by: Christin at July 24, 2003 04:04 PMI love POA! You will love it. I promise.
Posted by: kristen at July 24, 2003 04:04 PMGood idea... I'll mooch off Amy and Aaron!
Posted by: Shannon at July 24, 2003 04:15 PMI've not heard anyone say that the third (POA) is the best...is that the general consensus? I know several people who have read all five, and the popular opinion is the the fourth, the goblet of fire, is the best. it is wondeful. they all are of course, but the fourth is the most complex. good stuff.
Posted by: Uncle Josh at July 24, 2003 04:24 PMThe fourth is VERY good but it is so dark!
Posted by: kristen at July 25, 2003 11:05 AMGoblet of fire is exciting, but not the best because has a tragic storyline flaw. I have not found anybody who can explain to me why it's not a flaw. Obviously, I can'y discuss it in detail amongst all these HP virgins, so if you want to, you can ask me in person or e-mail me and I'll clue you in.
