Maybe their deteriorating the ozone layer and regressing the ability for whatever habitats they've destroyed.(That's just hypothetical....I'm no environmentalist geek) They are certainly not progressing my ability to get somewhere. But what about the long term benefits, you might argue? Well, down here in the deep South, there will probably be no long term benefits. Just never ending road construction. A status of stasis. Always working. Never getting anywhere. I don't know maybe the status of working, of always BEING in progress, is a kind of progress itself....ok. I'll stop now.
