I'm annoyed at Verizon at the moment because we have DSL, which is normally at speeds pretty close to a T1 line, but we live in an older neighborhood with ancient phone lines, and when we have lots of rain like we've had over the past few days, it messes up the phones because there's all sorts of crackling on the lines, and lots of crackling also means very slow internet, worse than dialup. The phone lines need to be replaced, I was hoping that tree branches would take them down during all of the hurricanes but we weren't so lucky. It's driving me nuts because I'm trying to look some things up and I'm sitting here waiting forever.

Oh, in other news, I'm going to India!!!. I'm not entirely sure on the dates, because it's working around when my brother will be in town and I'm trying to find the cheapest flight, but it will be sometime in mid July. I'm going to be turning into quite the globe trotter because the plan is to go to the World Cup in Germany in the summer of '06, which should be totally cool, though if the US ends up playing Germany we just might have to pretend we're Canadian, especially if Germany loses.
